Psycholinguistics Postgraduate Conference 2008 (2nd of June - 3rd of June 2008)
The Psycholinguistic Postgraduate Conference is an annual conference organized by PhD students of the psycholinguistic group of the psychology department at the University of Edinburgh. The conference is a venue for postgraduate students to present their most recent research in language processing.
Some of the topics that will be captured in this years conference are: psycholinguistic aspects of synaesthesia, speech errors, disfluencies, parsing, reading, dyslexia, lexical and syntactic processing in production and comprehension, bilingualism, and dialogue. This is a great opportunity to see the exciting new experimantal research and meet a diverse range of researchers.
This years invited speakers are:Chuck Clifton (University of Massachusetts)
Roger Van Gompel (University of Dundee)
Mark Steedman (University of Edinburgh)
Martin Corley (University of Edinburgh)
The conference will be take place in 7 George Square at Room S1 on 2nd and 3rd of June, from 9 am to 5.30 pm on both days. We are holding a wine reception at the end of the first days conference (from 5.15 PM) at the basement concourse and all of you are welcome to attend it.
