My main area of interest is the investigation of the mechanisms underpinning the development of dementia, with emphasis on Alzheimer's Disease. In doing so, age-related cognitives changes are also captured by my current research work.

Visual cognition in static, dynamic and real-world scenes. Attention, eye movements, and oculomotor control. Special interest in the cognition of visual media, specifically film and new media.

My research interests are focused on attention and memory, with particular emphasis on prospective memory (inc the role of the cholinergic system in prospective memory), and multitasking. I am especially interested in the potential of virtual environments to provide a realistic experimental tool with which to explore these important areas of every day cognition.
