Visual Cognition is a subgroup of the Human Cognitive Neuroscience Research Group at the University of Edinburgh. Group members focus on attention, vision, and action, investigating a wide range of topics including covert and overt attention, object and scene recognition, visual memory, eye movements in scene perception and reading, the relationship between vision and action, and the integration of vision and language. Methods include psychophysics, mental chronometry, eyetracking, motion tracking, computational modelling, functional neuroimaging, and the study of neuropsychological populations.
