Doctoral Programme in Parapsychology

The Koestler Parapsychology Unit takes a broad approach to parapsychology, conducting research into the psi hypothesis, pseudo-psi (‘what’s not psychic but looks like it’), beliefs about the paranormal and the history of accounts and studies of anomalous phenomena. For further information on our research, visit the KPU website.

Doctoral students would normally take either the MSc in Psychological Research or the MSc in History and Theory of Psychology, followed by three years of doctoral study.

While we have a broad remit, topics for doctoral study should be in line with current staff research work. Research interests and contact details can be obtained from the KPU website staff page.
